• Eyewear retailer Hans Anders has stopped sales of Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses
• The decision comes amid growing concerns over the public use of the tech
• Dutch consumer rights group Consumentenbond has said it will take Meta to court if it fails to comply with the law

The clampdown on privacy-threatening ‘pervert glasses’ continues, with Dutch eyewear retailer Hans Anders pulling the Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses from its online and high street stores in Belgium and the Netherlands indefinitely.

Hans Anders is part of the nexeye retail group, which operates over 400 stores across those two countries alone. When combined with its stores across Germany, Austria, and Sweden, it has 776 stores in total, although the Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses aren’t sold in the latter three regions.

The use of smart glasses has sparked a heated debate about whether these devices belong in public spaces, with concerns raised about general safety and privacy. Speaking with Reuters, a spokesperson for Hans Anders detailed the company’s decision to make the bold move, sharing the following:

"This decision follows the ongoing public and political debate surrounding smart glasses and the questions being raised about the conditions under which this technology can be used”.

One of the biggest areas of concern is women's privacy. According to a report from the NL Times, Meta's smart glasses have been used to capture footage of 'hundreds, maybe thousands' of Dutch women without their consent over the past few months. The outlet says the footage has been shared on messaging apps such as Telegram, as well as other harmful online sites.

The move follows a recent warning issued by the Dutch Data Protection Authority (AP), which said that photos and video footage of identifiable individuals taken using smart glasses can’t be shared without the individual's permission — though this is something that's clearly difficult to control in public spaces.

That’s not the only organization that’s decided to take an active stance against Meta. Earlier this week Consumentenbond, a consumer rights group, declared it will take Meta to court if the tech giant doesn’t amend its smart glasses to comply with privacy laws. That said, Meta says it’s always developing its smart glasses:

"Every pair with a camera has a bright light on the front that blinks when you take a photo or video — it can't be turned off, and the camera is disabled if someone covers ‌or tampers with it," a Meta spokesperson said. Despite this indicator, there’s nothing in place to stop users from covering the light to stop others from knowing if they’re being filmed.

As far as retailers go, Hans Anders is one of the first to enact a public protest against smart glasses, joining the fight to protect the privacy and wellbeing of consumers. The Netherlands’ combat against these devices is only just beginning — and other nations have expressed similar concerns.

The UK is also taking similar measures to ensure public spaces are free from the looming threat of smart glasses. Popular pub chain Wetherspoons has banned the use of smart glasses in its pubs across the country, while the UK Cinema Association says movie theaters could also introduce similar smart glasses restrictions to prevent piracy, and even stop users from livestreaming movies to social media platforms .

I test a lot of coffee makers here at TechRadar, and De'Longhi machines consistently come out on top when it comes to performance. There's something for every budget too, whether you're looking for an entry-level espresso machine or a fully automatic model that will handle the whole brewing process at the tap of a screen.

• Check out the full UK Amazon Prime Day sale

With so many De'Longhi coffee makers out there, though, it can be hard to decide which one is right for you. That's why I've put together this shortlist of the three best models I've tested, whatever your budget.

This is a particularly good time to pick up a new coffee maker too. With Amazon's Big Deal Days event due to start on October 6, lots of early offers already available, and other big stores are jumping on the bandwagon with their own sales events. To save you time, I've tracked down the biggest savings on each of my recommended coffee machines — or, if they aren't on sale, a similar model that will serve you just as well.

• Amazon: limited-time De'Longhi deals
• Walmart: over $400 off selected coffee makers
• Best Buy: up to $300 off espresso machines
• De'Longhi: 23% off with official Fall Promo

• Amazon: early Prime Day offers on coffee makers
• Currys: up to £180 off De'Longhi appliances
• John Lewis: De'Longhi deals price-matched
• Argos: savings on coffee makers and kettles

The Dedica Duo is one of the most affordable coffee makers I've ever tested, but it still has the build quality and performance you'd expect from De'Longhi. Most budget-friendly espresso machines I've tested offer poor quality, and are unable to maintain the constant temperature and pressure necessary to make reliably good espresso, but not this one.

It's a truly excellent little espresso machine, and you can trust it to deliver delicious results time after time. Its steam wand is particularly good, and despite the Duo's small boiler, it sustains plenty of pressure for you to create perfect microfoam for cappuccinos and lattes.

There's even a cold-extraction mode for those occasions when you're craving an iced coffee and don't want to wait 24 hours for it to infuse in the fridge. The Duo uses cold water direct from the tank, pulsing it slowly through your ground coffee over the course of two minutes for an authentic-tasting, mellow brew.

Read my full De'Longhi Dedica Duo review

The De'Longhi Dedica Duo isn't on offer in the US at the moment, but you can snag the Dedica Maestro Plus for half price at Amazon instead. This model doesn't have the cold brew function, but has an automatic steam wand instead - arguably more useful for latte-lovers.View Deal

Coffee Friend is one of my favorite destinations for specialist coffee gear in the UK, and its deal on the De'Longhi Dedica Duo knocks Amazon out of the park. With £90 off, it's one of the best early offers I've seen.View Deal

The De'Longhi La Specialista Touch is a superb semi-automatic espresso machine that doesn't just make delicious coffee with perfectly foamed milk — it also teaches you how to do it yourself, and helps you understand the effects of making even small changes to the flavor of your finished drinks, which earned it a full five stars in my review.

It starts by introducing the importance of grind size. Enter the type of coffee bean you're using (arabica or robusta, and the darkness of the roast) and it will estimate an appropriate grind size for you, dispense the ground coffee into the portafilter handle, and save the settings for next time.

You'll then tamp the coffee using the spring-loaded tamper, insert the handle into the machine (you'll be guided through every step) and tap a button to begin pulling your shot. The machine will time how long this takes, and recommend adjusting the grind size if it's too fast or slow. You're also encouraged to taste the espresso to see what you think.

Finally, you can either foam the milk yourself (the machine comes with an excellent steam wand), or use the automatic steaming system and let the La Specialista Touch do the work. It's very clever, and a great introduction to barista skills.

All machines in the De'Longhi La Specialista lineup are on offer at Amazon US right now, including a hefty $150 off the La Specialista Touch. If you can't wait for delivery, it's also available at Best Buy for $649.99 with same-day pickup, View Deal

The La Specialista Touch isn't on sale in the UK at the moment, but the excellent La Specialista Arte is, with over £140 off. This model has manual controls rather than a touchscreen, which you might prefer for more tactile brewing, plus an analog pressure gauge.View Deal

If you're looking for a fully automatic espresso machine — one that will do all the work for you and prepare perfect drinks at the tap of a button — may I recommend the De'Longhi Primadonna Aromatic. It's easily one of the best automatic coffee makers I've tested this year, and a lot of fun to use too.

It produces consistently well-extracted espresso and creamy milk foam (either hot or cold), as you'd expect for a machine in this price bracket. However, what impressed me most about the Primadonna Aromatic was its ability to 'learn' what you like to drink at what time of day, and push those options to the top of its extensive drinks menu, so you don't have to flick through to find your favorites.

It's definitely a big machine (there wasn't much clearance to open the bean hopper when it was underneath my kitchen cabinets), but it looks stylish, and its five-inch touchscreen is bright and easy to navigate.

Like all the De'Longhi coffee makers in this roundup, the Primadonna Aromatic can brew hot and cold espresso — but, unlike the others, it can also produce chilled milk foam using a dedicated carafe with a special nozzle. It worked brilliantly in my tests, and you can store the carafe in the fridge between uses.

Like the Primadonna Aromatic, the premium Dinamica Plus is a smart automatic espresso machine that 'leans' your favorite drinks, and Amazon has knocked over $560 off in the US ahead of Prime Day.View Deal

My colleague Max Langridge awarded the Magnifica Evo Next four stars out of five, praising its excellent coffee extraction and huge drinks menu. It's a much more affordable automatic espresso machine that the Primadonna, and has received a 41% price cut with this early Prime Day deal in the UK.View Deal

Like September (or 'Techtember', as I like to call it), October is going to be another massive month for portable audio and hi-fi — and Amazon's kicking things off with its huge 'Big Deal Days' savings across two days. That seems like a mouthful though, so can I just call it Techtober instead? (Needs work. And I may need a holiday).

Amazon's October Prime Day — aka the Prime Day Big Deal Days (which I'm going to abbreviate to APDBDD) — isn't actually here for another day, at the time of writing. Someone on payroll clearly didn't get the memo though, because the company's already discounted plenty.

• Browse the full Amazon Prime Day sale

So what's being fabulously slashed in price within the hi-fi and audio space? To clarify, we're a day before the Big Deal Days event starts proper, but when has that ever seemed to bother the huge online retailer? The short answer to my first question is: the 12 products listed below, all with handy links to buy. The short answer to the second question is: never.

On to the deals! I'm kicking off with not one but two discounted Sony flagship headphones. My pick here? If you don't absolutely need your headphones to fold up small to slip into a little backpack, I'd save the case and go for the excellent Sony WH-1000XM5, now just £192 (was £279) at Amazon.

Earbuds more your thing? Although the excellent JLab Go Pop ANC buds in this list look like they're only discounted by £5, Amazon's running an extra-special 'buy any 2 for £40' sale on them — which is both a stonking saving on their £29.99 regular RRP and the perfect solution for stocking fillers or Secret Santa presents (you'll always get roped into at least one!) in the run up to gift-giving season.

Now, bigger stuff. You can't go wrong with anything here, but if you need a Bluetooth speaker, the JBL Charge 6 is an absolute belter of a five-star product. Something for the desk? Anker's trusty Soundcore 2 is an Amazon best-seller for a reason.

There are two lovely and affordable turntables in this list too. For me, the Audio-Technica AT-LP60xBT edges it. Yes, it's a slightly older launch than the Sony (2019 versus 2025) but vinyl doesn't evolve at the alarming rate wireless audio does. Also, it looks stunning, and you can't argue with a turntable that launched at £179, now down to just £118…

What is it? Sony's current flagship noise-cancelling headphones (not to be confused with the elite 1000X The Collexion set, released in honor of the 10-year anniversary of the 1000X lineup)

What is it? Sony's previous-generation flagship noise-cancelling headphones (not to be confused with the newer WH-1000XM6 in this list, or the elite 1000X The Collexion set, released in honor of the 10-year anniversary of the 1000X lineup).

What is it? Only the most popular headphones in the entire world! These are the newest flagship ice-white Apple buds (not the newest non-Pro sets; that would be the two AirPods 5 models) with all of the whistles and bells. Heart-rate monitoring, the hearing health suite, live translation to your iPhone — you name it and if Apple does it, it's here.

I tried the AirPods Pro 3 – they’re fantastic, but I wouldn’t trade in my Pro 2

What is it? A delightful set of cheap and cheerful, budget earbuds that has no right offering ANC at this price, but does so anyway. I've been a huge fan of JLab for years, and this set is even better with even more of a discount. And check out the colors — why not select two for £40?

What is it? Amazon's current bijou smart speaker (granted, it's been a while since its release), but this one threw in a few extra perks over the older iteration, including a temperature sensor, helpful tap function, and a better sound than its 4th-generation sibling.

What is it? A nearly-ideal small and flexible speaker, honestly. It offers wide dispersion of sound, Wi-Fi plus Bluetooth a line-in option, support for many streaming services, voice control, and it goes as loud as you'll ever need it to. But it's less refined in the bass than is normal for Sonos, and with a higher price than its predecessor. Also, don't confuse it with the cheaper Sonos Era 100 SL…

What is it? The smallest in Sony's ULT (or bass-focused) speaker lineup — there's a bigger Field 5 and even a slightly older Field 7 too. We loved the design and feature-set under review, but didn't love the audio tuning. That said, for this money there's a lot to enjoy…

What is it? Sony's entry-level fully automatic turntable. And for this £70-off money, it is competent. Be aware though, this product has a slightly pricier PS-LX5BT sibling that we rated more under intense review…

What is it? A vinyl spinner that also also offers Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX transmission. That means you can send your LP music to your wireless headphones simply by putting them into pairing mode and pressing the button on the corner of the Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT's plinth, so deck finds them and hooks up. It's not the newest player around, but this is vinyl we're talking about (so it doesn't need to be).

What is it? A consistent best-seller on Amazon's website, that's what. It also looks quite business-like on a desk, unlike rivals from JBL, so if you need an office musical companion for very little money, it may just fit the bill. It's not a new product, but you do get 12W stereo sound, an IPX7 waterproof rating, and up to 24 hours of battery life. And that isn't half bad for this money.

Not all of the best laptops are prohibitively expensive. Take this HP 15 Laptop at Walmart for just $339 (was $589). This budget-friendly laptop was already incredibly affordable at full price, but now with $250 off, it's positively cheap for what's on offer.

In fact, it is the cheapest new 'true' Core i3 laptop in the US right now, just in time for Amazon Prime Day Big Beal Days.

But don't confuse the low price with poor quality. With it, you get dependable performance for everyday computing, get your work finished, hop on video calls, and even stream your favourite shows.

We'd say it's the ideal fit for any student needing a laptop for school or college, or anyone wanting a large screen for those jobs when a phone doesn't quite cut it. Whatever you use it for, you won't be breaking the bank with this purchase.

Laptop 15: was $589 now $339
This is a solid price for a 15-inch laptop with an Intel Core i3 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD. You'll find more advanced hardware elsewhere, but for everyday productivity, school, and college, this laptop is more than enough and very reasonably priced—especially now that you can get it for $250 off.View Deal

We haven't reviewed this HP laptop, but the specs give us a clear feel for what it offers. It begins with a 15-inch display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and full HD resolution. It's also an anti-glare panel, which reduces reflections even in bright environments.

It is the only one in this price range to offer a Core i3 CPU, 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD. The N305 is a decent processor, the fastest CPU in a sub-$400 laptop. I couldn't find anything similar.

The HP 15 also features a full-sized keyboard with an integrated numeric pad and 1.5 mm key travel, designed for comfortable typing and increased productivity.

In terms of connectivity, the HP's entry-level laptop has WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 technology that delivers fast speeds, excellent performance, and good reliability.

DJI's Osmo Pocket 3 is one of the top action cams we've ever tested - and easily one of the most popular for creators. This is a 4K handheld camera is small enough to carry almost anywhere, designed to give creators a more dedicated video setup without the bulk of conventional camera equipment.

• Best for: Travelers, vloggers, creators, and anyone who wants stabilized 4K video without carrying a full-size camera and separate gimbal.

• The deal: The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is now $395 (was $439) at Best Buy.

• Why it matters: We scored the Pocket 3 4.5 stars in our review, and it's easily one of our favorites, packed with features. A 1-inch CMOS sensor captures 4K video at up to 120fps, while three-axis mechanical stabilization keeps handheld footage steady. ActiveTrack 6.0, 10-bit color, and a rotating 2-inch OLED touchscreen add plenty of creative flexibility.

Osmo Pocket 3 4K Handheld Camera: was $439 now $395
The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 features a 1-inch CMOS sensor, 4K/120fps recording, three-axis mechanical stabilization, a rotating 2-inch OLED touchscreen, ActiveTrack 6.0, 10-bit color, stereo audio, and microSD storage.View Deal

In his 4.5-star review, our expert Paul called it an: "impressive camera that delivers amazing video quality and beautiful slow-motion scenes."

He added that "The introduction of a new 1-inch sensor is a game-changer for the Pocket line. It results in better image quality across both photo and video, with higher-resolution video capabilities in the slow-mo mode and greatly improved low-light capabilities."

The Pocket 3's combination of size, sensor, and mechanical stabilization makes it particularly appealing for travel, vlogging, and shooting while moving. Its three-axis gimbal physically stabilizes the camera, helping keep footage steady when you're walking, following a subject, or filming handheld.

The 1-inch CMOS sensor can record 4K footage at up to 120fps, while D-Log M and 10-bit color give you more flexibility when color grading footage afterwards.

At $395 rather than $439, you're saving $44, which works out to a cut of 10%. This is one of the lowest prices we've seen for the Osmo Pocket 3, although it has previously been down to around $378 elsewhere.

For more shopping options, take a look at our roundup of the best action cameras, and our advice on which DJI cameras to buy.

✅ Buy the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 camera if...

You shoot travel videos, vlogs, family events, or other footage while moving and want something more purpose-built than a smartphone without resorting to a full-size camera setup.

❌ Skip the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 camera if...

Still photography is your main priority, or you simply need an inexpensive camera for occasional video. Much of the Pocket 3's appeal comes from features such as the gimbal, ActiveTrack, and high-frame-rate 4K recording.

Amazon has brought back its Prime Big Deal Days sale for yet another year, and while the event officially runs across October 6 and 7, there are early deals already live at the retailer today. I'm here to find and share all of the very best offers over the next few days, helping you uncover the biggest savings on top-rated tech and the bargains that are actually worth spending your money on.

• Browse the early Prime Big Deal Days sale

I've covered Prime Day for around a decade now, and if you haven't seen a Prime Big Deal Days sale before, it's effectively the same thing — just later in the year. The vast majority of offers are available exclusively to Amazon Prime members for 48 hours, covering everything from tech and toys to fashion and essentials.

Of course, Amazon's own-brand devices play a big part in the sale, as they always do. This means it's usually one of the best times of the year to pick up a Kindle, a Fire TV Stick, a Ring doorbell, a Blink security camera, and so on. In fact, right now, you can already get an Amazon Kindle for £84.99 (was £134.99) — that's the lowest price this year.

But there are dozens upon dozens of standout offers elsewhere, too. Some of the highlights I've spotted so far in the early sale include the Nintendo Switch 2 for a record-low price, this Oura Ring 4 for £199.99 (was £243.15) and a five-star Ninja Foodi Max Air Fryer for £161.45 (was £229.99).

From those and other offers I've seen so far, it's a solid preview of this year's upcoming Black Friday deals in November — even amidst price hikes and stock issues in some categories. So, stick with me and the rest of the expert TechRadar team as we guide you through the sale and hand-pick our favourite offers.

Just remember, you need an Amazon Prime membership to access most of these offers, but new and returning subscribers can get a 30-day Amazon Prime free trial to cover you for the sale.

• Amazon Prime: get a 30-day free trial
• Amazon Devices: up to 67% off Fire, Ring & Blink
• Amazon Haul: extra 15% off for Prime members
• Appliances: up to 40% off Ninja & De'Longhi
• Beauty: up to 60% off Philips & Oral-B
• Essentials: cleaning & groceries from £2
• Fashion: up to 50% off
• Gaming: record-low Nintendo Switch 2
• Headphones: up to 50% off Anker & Sony
• Laptops: up to £800 off Microsoft & Asus
• Tablets: up to 50% off Fire tablets
• TVs: from £129.99
• Vacuums: up to 50% off Shark & Dyson
• Wearables: Samsung & Oura from £31

The latest version of the standard Kindle is on sale as part of the Prime Big Deal Days sale. It's a basic ereader, but it still boasts a four-week battery life and space for thousands of books. Given it's significantly cheaper than the Paperwhite, this is clearly a better pick for the infrequent reader who's after a more budget-friendly option. At £85, though, this deal is a little underwhelming, given it's been as low as £69.99 before.View Deal

Foodi Max Dual Zone Air Fryer: was £229.99 now £161.45
The Ninja Foodi Max is the ultimate air fryer for many and it's now down to a great low price at Amazon. It offers six different functions, including Max Crisp, air frying, roasting, baking, reheating, and dehydrating. With two baskets, you get two independent cooking zones with the option to have them sync or match up, depending on your needs. Its extra large capacity is perfect for family cooking or batch cooking as it gives you plenty of room for a 2kg chicken or 1.4kg of fries in each compartment.View Deal

Battery Video Doorbell: was £99.99 now £39.99
The latest wireless Ring Doorbell has been discounted to just £2 more than the record-low price. We've tested this and have been impressed with the video quality, high zoom, and night vision colour, but it's a shame that some of this device's value is only usable with a Ring Protect subscription. However, if you're fine with paying for a subscription or already using a Ring-based home security system, it's worth the cost.View Deal

Amazon has the Nintendo Switch 2 at its lowest price ever for Prime Big Deal Days. Given that the console was only recently hit with a price hike, I'm surprised that you can score such a big price cut on it right now, so definitely take advantage while you can if you've been thinking of picking it up, as this price almost certainly won't be beaten all year.View Deal

Ember 50-inch 4-Series 4K TV: was £499.99 now £279.99
The 50-inch Amazon Ember TV is the mid-sized version of the budget-friendly 4-Series range and it's now down to its lowest-ever price. It's a nice buy if you're on a budget, as the premium 4K resolution delivers excellent clarity and picture quality for TV shows, movies, sports and general viewing. All major streaming apps are ready to go, too, plus there's voice control support through Alexa. It's an all-around solid TV for the price that I'd buy if I needed an affordable and capable display.View Deal

Display - 13 inches
Processor - Snapdragon X Plus
RAM - 16GB
Storage - 512GB

The latest Microsoft Surface Laptop is one of our favourite Windows devices and received a glowing five-stars in our Microsoft Surface Laptop review, so I'm obviously going to call out this solid saving at Amazon. This particular specification includes a powerful Snapdragon X Plus processor, a healthy 16GB of RAM and a reasonable 512GB SSD. That storage feels a little light for the price, but the levels of performance and battery life from the CPU are top-tier to go alongside the swish-looking display and keyboard.View Deal

iO Series 3: was £175 now £59.99
The iO range is usually a more expensive option in Oral-B's range of electric toothbrushes, but this is a decent deal on the entry-level option that's also bundled with a few handy extras. It doesn't boast many high-end features but it has the basic ones you really need to brush your teeth effectively and efficiently, including a two-minute timer and a visible pressure sensor. Plus, you get spare brush head and a carry case included for free.View Deal

I'm not sure how I feel about smart rings, but our fitness editor, Matt Evans, is a big fan of the Oura Ring 4. He said it was "nearly the perfect fitness tracker" in our review, praising the design, ease-of-use, long-lasting battery and detailed health information it offers. This fascinating bit of tech is now down to its lowest-ever price on Amazon — although be warned that some sizes and colours are selling out.View Deal

The Philips OneBlade 360 is a quick, simple and affordable electric razor that's suitable for a wide variety of face and body grooming needs. This jam-packed bundle was a little cheaper over Prime Day, but today's offer is still a solid one. This bundle includes the handle, as well as two spare blades, four combs, a body kit, and a USB-A charging cable.View Deal

USB-C Charger Cable (2-Pack): was £7.99 now £5.69
Can you ever have too many USB cables? The box full of them under my desk would suggest you can. However, if you want a couple more to leave around the house or take with you when out and about, this pair of USB-C to USB-A cables from top brand Anker is now super-cheap for Prime Day.View Deal

TurboForce Power Fan: was £29.99 now £25.49
This small desk fan has been a popular buy all summer as it's a cheap yet powerful option, so it's worth shouting out again while it's on sale for Prime Day. It's not the most advanced fan out there, but you get three speed settings and quiet operation, which makes it a good choice for your desk while working or on the side table at night.View Deal

Soundcore Portable Speaker 2: was £28.49 now £22.99
If you want a cheap and basic Bluetooth speaker, then you can't go wrong with this Anker Soundcore for a little over £20. Sure, it's not going to give you the biggest and boldest audio quality, but it's still a solid option at an affordable price. Battery life is an impressive 24 hours, too, so it's great to use around the home or take it with you when on the go.View Deal

Get the highly rated Renpho smart scale on sale for under £20 for Prime Day. The smart scale has over 300,000 reviews on Amazon and holds a solid 4.5-star rating. You can use this smart device to measure your body fat ratio, BMI, and weight via the Renpho app.View Deal

This Warmco Portable handheld fan is a slightly more high-tech and serious-looking device. Again, we haven't reviewed it, but it does have good Amazon reviews and the price is right thanks to this current deal. According to the user reviews, this looks to be a surprisingly powerful little fan that's capable of 3 to 13 hours of operation per charge.View Deal

DeskJet 2921 All-in-One Wireless Inkjet Printer: was £54.99 now £34.99
If you need a cheap and cheerful printer, this DeskJet 2921 is a great budget choice that supports wireless printing, scanning, and copying. This bundle also includes three months of HP Instant Ink, so you can save cash on your first few rounds of prints.View Deal

Here's a great price for the appliance we awarded 4.5 stars out of five in our Shark Stratos Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner review. Again, I can't praise these vacuums enough for the Anti Hair Wrap tech that's saved me so much time unclogging the brush roll compared to my old vacuum. Flexology makes it a good option for reaching under furniture and this upgraded Stratos version boasts anti-odour tech and CleanSense IQ that automatically adjusts suction power to tackle tougher areas of dirt. Battery life is an impressive 60 minutes.View Deal

The Dyson V8 is now older, but it remains one of the top affordable vacuums and also one of the best Dyson vacuums – period. This still more-than-capable vacuum comes with a couple of essential attachments for cleaning around the home. Given its age and basic features, it's a struggle to recommend it at its full price, but now that it's discounted so heavily at Currys, it's an easy recommendation.View Deal

Promising simplicity of use, the De'Longhi Magnifica Evo has a straightforward touch control panel that allows you to brew your favourite cup of coffee with the minimum amount of effort. It also has a silent integrated grinder with 13 settings, plus a handy milk frother, so it’s a good all-in-one solution for those who love a cup of joe but want to skip all the faff of making the drink. We liked it enough in our De'Longhi Magnifica Evo Next review, in which we awarded it four stars out of five.View Deal

Sage makes some of the best coffee machines we've ever tested here at TechRadar, so I definitely want to shout out this offer on its excellent The Barista Express. We awarded it 4.5 stars in our review for its ease of use, bevvy of customisable settings and tasty results. While it's still a pricey machine, it's worth the investment if you really want to get into your coffee-making at home.View Deal

We may be about to hit the colder months, but the Ninja Creami ice cream maker is still a quick and convenient way to make all of your favourite frozen treats, milkshakes and sorbets at the touch of a button. While it was a little cheaper than this last Black Friday, today's offer is the best I've seen all year for the popular appliance.View Deal

A smart kettle feels like a bit of a gimmick, but if you make a variety a different hot drinks that taste better when brewed at specific temperatures, then I could see a reason why you'd want to invest in this Ninja Perfect Temperature Kettle. With this discount, it's much easier to justify a purchase compared to the steep full price.View Deal

Aquatak 120: was £109.99 now £82.99
I did a lot of research before picking up this pressure washer for myself a couple of years ago and it's been an excellent buy for simple cleaning tasks around the home, such as patios, decking, walls and cars. While we haven't tested this model at TechRadar, it's been praised elsewhere for its solid build quality, strong water pressure and portability. You also get a good selection of attachments in this bundle, including a patio cleaner, wash brush and detergent nozzle.View Deal

The new Blink Mini 2K+ has a couple of nice upgrades compared to the previous model, including a built-in spotlight, night view in colour support and the option to use it outdoors with the weather-resistant adaptor.

You can get the upgraded version of Amazon's standard Fire TV Stick for £19.99 — that's just £3 more than the record-low price. Fire TV Stick 4K Select: was £64.99 now £21.99
Amazon's newest 4K streaming stick is down to within £2 of its lowest-ever price for Prime Big Deal Days. Considering it's only a few quid more than the cheaper HD version, you might as well pay for the upgrade and get access to higher resolution streaming — as long as you have a 4K TV. It lacks a few premium features found in the more expensive Plus and Max models, such as improved Wi-Fi and Dolby Atmos, but this is more than enough to cover general everyday use.View Deal

Amazon's new Fire TV Stick 4K Plus streams shows and movies to your TV in ultra-high-definition 4K resolution. This updated version now supports Dolby Vision for improved colours, Wi-Fi 6 for better connectivity, and includes 2GB of RAM for faster performance. This offer isn't particularly great, given it was £10 cheaper during the last Prime Day, but it's still good value for an all-around streaming device.View Deal

This is £9 more than the record-low price for Amazon's premium streaming device. The Fire TV Stick 4K Max streams the same content at the same quality as the standard 4K version, but the extra power inside delivers faster app navigation. Plus, it uses Wi-Fi 6E technology to deliver a more stable, consistent streaming experience.View Deal

The Kindle Colorsoft just fell to its lowest-ever price as part of this year's Prime Big Deal Days sale. As Amazon's first colored Kindle, it's a must-have if you love reading travel guides, graphic novels, and other genres with a lot of images and photographs — or just want to view your entire ebook library in its full colour glory. The ereader is also USB-C and wireless charging compatible, lasts up to eight weeks on a full battery, and has enough storage for thousands of books.View Deal

This is the new lowest-ever price for the newest version of the Kindle Scribe with 64GB of storage. This ereader combines some of the best features of the Kindle Paperwhite, such as the glare-free and auto-adjusting display, along with the option to take notes, comment on documents, and doodle using the included stylus pen. We were a little disappointed by the original Kindle Scribe because of some missing features, but after some updates and upgrades to this new model, we were happy to award it an impressive 4.5 stars, as it offers good value for such a multi-functional device.View Deal

Amazon's best-selling Echo Show 5 is down to £54.99 for Prime Big Deal Days — its lowest price in almost two years. Ember TV 32-inch 2-Series HD TV: was £249.99 now £129.99
Amazon's Prime Day sale includes this 32-inch TV on sale for a record-low price of £129.99. While the Amazon 2-Series TV is just a basic HD display, you get smart capabilities with the Fire TV experience and Amazon Alexa on board for hands-free control at a bargain price. It's far from the best TV in the world, but if you need something small and basic for the kitchen or a kid's room, then this is fine for the job.View Deal

Ember TV 55-inch Omni Mini-LED TV: was £849.99 now £599.99
Amazon has taken the biggest step up in terms of quality with its latest Omni Mini-LED Series Fire TVs. However, you still get a lot for your money with this Amazon option, including a large 55-inch Mini-LED panel that boasts fantastic contrast, colors and image sharpness, a 144Hz game mode for a fast and responsive experience on consoles, and smart features.View Deal

It's a great buy if you want a powerful and capable laptop with decent battery life for everyday use, work, or school.View Deal

Galaxy Fit 3: was £41.94 now £31
At almost £30, now is a great time to buy Samsung's budget fitness tracker. As well as all the basic fitness, health and sleep tracking features, the Galaxy Fit3 is an excellent extension to your smartphone that lets you check your messages, control your music and navigate easily with simple gestures. Everything centres around the impressive 1.6-inch AMOLED display, and battery life is also not a problem, with 13 days on a single charge.View Deal

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 has been superseded by a brand-new model, so Amazon is shifting all of its remaining stock for a low price. We were incredibly impressed with the smartwatch in our review, as it felt like a big step forward for the wearable. There's the stylish design, as well as advanced health and fitness tracking features, and a smart running coach. This offer will disappear in a flash with such limited stock, so I'd grab it while you can if you want one of the best smartwatch deals we'll see all year and you're happy with slightly older tech.View Deal

This fascinating bit of tech is now down to its lowest-ever price on Amazon — although be warned that some sizes and colours are selling out.View Deal

iO Series 3: was £175 now £59.99
The iO range is usually a more expensive option in Oral-B's range of electric toothbrushes, but this is a decent deal on the entry-level option that's also bundled with a few handy extras. It doesn't boast many high-end features but it has the basic ones you really need to brush your teeth effectively and efficiently, including a two-minute timer and a visible pressure sensor. Plus, you get spare brush head and a carry case included for free.View Deal

The Philips OneBlade 360 is a quick, simple and affordable electric razor that's suitable for a wide variety of face and body grooming needs. This bundle includes the handle, as well as two spare blades, four combs, a body kit, and a USB-A charging cable.View Deal

Ideal for younger gamers, the Nex Playground comes with games ready to play out of the box, such as Fruit Ninja, Whac-a-Mole, and more. It's now down to a record-low price at Amazon. RAM and graphics card prices have been dreadful lately, but at least the same issues haven't impacted CPUs just yet. As an example, this AMD Ryzen 5 9600X is down to its lowest price in months for Prime Big Deal Days. It's a solid mid-range CPU for general use and gaming — and it's even the one I'm using right now in my PC. I've been very impressed with it, and at this price, it's hard to beat for value for money.View Deal

You blink and it's almost Black Friday again. Yes, the end-of-year mega sale it's technically just under two months away, but we're getting an early preview of what's to come with the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days event across October 6 - 7.

As someone who's covered Prime Day sales for a decade now (wow, that's far too long), I'm here to help you hunt down all of the very best deals in this year's event — along with some handy assists from the rest of the TechRadar team.

So, let's begin with some of the early deals that are available now before the sale starts properly tomorrow.

If there's one offer I was genuinely surprised to see in the Prime Big Deal Days sale, it's this record-low price for the Nintendo Switch 2. With all the price hikes around games consoles lately, I only imagined this would get more expensive over the next few months, so it's well worth grabbing one now if you were planning to treat yourself or get one as a Christmas gift. I really don't think it'll be as low as this again for some time.

Nintendo Switch 2: was £419.99 now £354.99 at Amazon

Amazon just unveiled a couple of new Kindle models, so naturally, there are discounts on the previous-generation version for Prime Big Deal Days.

Now, I should point out that a couple of these have actually been cheaper in the past, but the days of such aggressive price cuts appear to be far behind us now. This is still a decent offer for the standard Kindle, though, an is unlikely to be beaten over Black Friday.

Amazon Kindle: was £139.99 now £84.99 at Amazon

Anyone out there without an air fryer yet? Amazingly, I still don't have one, but it's getting harder not to be tempted after yet another excellent offer on the Ninja Foodi Max. This five-star-rated appliance is currently 30% off for Prime Big Deal Days.

Ninja Foodi Max Air Fryer: was £229.99 now £161.45 at Amazon

When I think back to this time last year when I decided I'd upgrade my ageing PC, I feel I got extremely lucky. The RAM and storage crisis was only just picking up, so I managed to sneak in with some key components before the costs really skyrocketed.

One of the items I bought was this AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, and it's been an impressive CPU in my new rig over the last 10 months for work, productivity, and a bit of light gaming. It gets a huge thumbs up from me if you're looking for a solid budget-friendly CPU.

AMD Ryzen 5 9600X: was £249.99 now £139.99 at Amazon

All of the back-to-school sales are now behind us, but if you've found you're current laptop isn't cutting it in the classroom, or just want a capable new device for home use, then there are a couple of good options in the Prime Big Deal Days sale.

The one is recommend the most is this Asus Vivobook 15. It's a little older now, sure, but it still offers impressive overall power and performance for the price, with a 15.6-inch display, excellent AMD Ryzen 7 processor, a useful 16GB of RAM, a reasonable 512GB of SSD storage, all for around £400.

Asus Vivobook 15: was £476 now £402.99 at Amazon

Of course, it's the big tech deals that are always the more exciting items in any Prime Day sale. But, over recent years, it's become an equally good opportunity to stock up on a few cheap essentials. I'll be picking out a few of those deals over the next few days, starting with this multipack of Duracell AA batteries.

Duracell Plus AA Batteries (36-Pack): was £29.99 now £24.99 at Amazon

Amazon Ember TVs (they used to be called Fire TVs) are a regular feature of any Prime Day sale. And while they may not be the most powerful or advanced displays, we rate several of them as good options if you want a capable budget to watch live TV or stream your favourite shows.

Amazon Ember 50-inch 4K TV: was £499.99 now £279.99 at Amazon

• Milk Dragon uses fake ecommerce sites and social media deals to steal payment data
• Malware captures credentials and MFA codes in real time, even before form submission
• Campaign targeted victims in 66 countries, abusing trusted brands and banks

If you come across a post on social media promoting huge discounts on major brands such as Lego or Calvin Klein, be extra careful, as security researchers Group-IB have warned these could be fake, and part of an elaborate scheme to steal your money.

In their report, the researchers said they uncovered a major scam campaign run by a group they are calling Milk Dragon.

For at least a year now, this threat actor has been using a phishing kit of the same name to create spoofed versions of popular ecommerce websites, sometimes even using AI to create entirely fake listings.

Fake ecommerce sites with offers simply too good to pass up on are not a new tactic.

Recent FTC Consumer Sentinel data shows 376,830 reports in the "online shopping and negative reviews" category in 2023, with nearly $400 million in reported losses. The median reported loss was $126, with more than half of reports involving financial losses.

What makes this campaign unique is that it abuses trusted channels - social media groups and pages - to deliver the lure. Usually, these lures would be sent out via phishing emails, but since email providers have caught up with most of the tactics and have become rather good at filtering spam, threat actors turned to the next best thing - social media.

In this case, the listings were shared on Facebook and TikTok mostly, Group-IB said, primarily in groups where users hunt for similar bargains. That way, they might not even realize they are actually being targeted by an advanced infostealer.

As Group-IB explained, the websites come with a piece of malware called BytePress which captures all of the information submitted and sends it to the attackers’ command-and-control panel.

What makes BytePress particularly dangerous is the fact that victims don’t even have to submit the information - simply typing it into the form is enough, since the malware can stream what the victim types character by character, in real-time.

When the victim finally submits the data, it gets relayed through attacker infrastructure to the legitimate website, which often returns requests for one-time passwords and similar multi-factor authentication. The request is sent back to the victim and once again picked up, defeating any multi-factor authentication they might have set up.

In the end, the victim will get a fake order confirmation, and Milk Dragon will display what appears to be a successful purchase. That way, the victim will believe everything is in order and won’t rush to contact their bank and freeze their credit card or reset their credentials. In the meantime, crooks can use those details in whatever malicious way they please.

Milk Dragon doesn’t seem to be targeting any country, or people, specifically. It cast a relatively wide net, with victims being found in 66 countries around the world. However, according to Group-IB’s report, the majority of the victims were found in three countries: Malaysia (1,300+), Singapore (1,200+), and Thailand (1,100+).

The group also doesn’t seem to be particularly fond of any specific brand. A total of 21 popular brands were spoofed, across cosmetics & fashion, food & beverages, home & baby products, as well as toy industries. Regional supermarkets are also frequent impersonation targets, it seems, as well as 36 financial institutions and banks.

The Milk Dragon phishing kit is being sold on Telegram channels as a service, with various hacking groups paying either monthly, or yearly fees. The tool is being sold from 300 USDT (cryptocurrency) a month, with various subscription plans and add-ons.
